Your Voice. Your Town. Your Future.
Born and raised in Alberta, I’ve lived in Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary, Turner Valley, and now proudly call Cochrane home. My journey across this province has given me a deep appreciation for the diversity, resilience, and spirit of Albertans—and Cochrane embodies all of that and more. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary and have spent over 25 years working in the Oil & Gas industry with the provincial government and in the private sector. My career has taken me around the world—from Houston to Kuala Lumpur to Dubai—giving me a global perspective and a strong foundation in strategic planning, collaboration, and problem-solving. Cochrane is where my heart is. My husband and I chose this town as our forever home because of its stunning natural beauty, small-town charm, and welcoming community. Since settling here, I’ve become deeply invested in the future of our town. I’ve seen how infrastructure delays and unclear decision-making can impact our daily lives—and I believe we deserve better. I’m not a career politician. I’m an engineer, a global citizen, and a proud Albertan who’s ready to listen, lead, and deliver. I’m running for council because I believe in data-driven decisions, transparent governance, and a community-first approach. Together, we can build a Cochrane that works—for everyone.
Cochrane is growing—and with growth comes opportunity. My vision is for a town that embraces progress while preserving the character and charm that make it special. I believe in a future where infrastructure keeps pace with development, services are delivered efficiently and equitably, and residents feel empowered to shape the decisions that affect their lives.
I envision a Cochrane that leads with transparency, where council decisions are clear, data-backed, and communicated openly. A town where fiscal responsibility isn’t just a buzzword, but a guiding principle—ensuring that every dollar spent delivers real value to our community.
I see a town where families thrive, seniors feel supported, and young people see a future here. Where neighborhoods are connected by thoughtful planning, safe roads, and accessible public spaces. Where local businesses are celebrated and supported, and where environmental stewardship is woven into every policy.
This vision isn’t mine alone—it’s built on the hopes and concerns I’ve heard from residents across Cochrane. I’m running for council because I believe we can turn that vision into reality. Together, we can build a town that works—for everyone.
Infrastructure isn’t just about roads and pipes—it’s about planning for the future we want. I believe that when we plan well, we budget better. That means aligning our capital projects with long-term growth strategies, and ensuring our operational budgets reflect the real needs of our community.
I will advocate for a comprehensive infrastructure master plan that’s tied directly to financial forecasting. We need clear timelines, transparent cost estimates, and measurable outcomes. I’ll push for regular public reporting on off-site levy collections and allocations, so residents can see how growth is being funded—and where it’s going.
Smart infrastructure planning also means prioritizing sustainability. Development must be fiscally responsible and environmentally sound. Let’s build a Cochrane where infrastructure supports not just expansion, but resilience.
Great services start with great data. I will champion the use of service-level benchmarks and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate how well our town is meeting residents’ needs. From waste collection to snow removal, we should know what success looks like—and how we’re tracking toward it.
I’ll support regular service audits and the creation of public dashboards that make performance data accessible and understandable. And I’ll work to ensure residents have a voice in defining service priorities through surveys, town halls, and neighborhood forums.
When services are measured, they improve. When residents are engaged, they trust. That’s the kind of Cochrane I want to help build.
Trust is earned through transparency. I will push for clear, timely communication from administration and council—so residents aren’t left guessing about decisions that affect their lives.
I’ll advocate for decision-tracking tools that show how and why policies are made, and support independent oversight mechanisms to ensure accountability. Post-decision impact assessments should be standard practice, helping us learn from what works—and what doesn’t.
I believe in honest conversations about trade-offs and priorities. That means listening to residents, sharing the rationale behind decisions, and creating space for feedback. Transparency isn’t just a principle—it’s a practice. And I’m committed to making it part of everything we do.
I believe in a Cochrane where every resident feels heard, valued, and included. I would like to see neighborhood forums and youth advisory councils, round table forums, and regular town hall meetings. My platform is rooted in collaboration—not just with council and administration, but with you.
Let’s build a town that works—for everyone. I’m ready to listen, lead, and deliver—together with you.
